Department of Psychiatry


Psychiatry deals with humanbehavior, thinking, emotions, and overall mental well-being. In modern psychiatry, Neuropsychiatry has multifaceted approach to diagnose, treat and prevent mental disorders through psychological, biological, and socio-environmental factors.

The neuropsychiatry department is subdivided into:

  • psychiatric anxiety disorder
  • panic disorder
  • obsessive-compulsive disorder
  • neurotic disorders (neuroses)
  • mood disorders such as:
    • depression
    • mania
    • schizophrenia
    • delusional disorder
    • psychotic disorder (psychotic)
    • dementia brain injury
    • brain disease
  • drug-induced mental disorders
  • adjustment disorders
  • sleep disorders
  • pediatric and adolescent mental disorders (autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, learning disabilities, tic disorders, mental retardation, emotional, behavioral and developmental disability, etc.)
  • personality disorders.

With 5 adjunct professors and 8 residents, the neuropsychiatry department contributes to the mental health of the Daejeon community and Chungnam region.
